Why I Use Hemp Seed Oil – And Why You Should Too
Hemp seed oil changed my skincare game—here’s why I switched, what it does, and why our skin needs it now more than ever.
Living a superfast life in Mumbai, we tend to forget or ignore our daily skincare routine. Dust, pollution, and humidity take a toll on our skin, and even before we realise it, our skin starts showing signs of exhaustion, dryness, and premature aging.
I felt the same after working for 12 years, day and night, stressing my skin in the corporate world. I realised I was missing out on something — something clean, natural, and minimalistic, that provides high-performance body care full of essential skincare nutrients, and acts as a skin damage controller and protector. That’s when I turned to something most people in India still misunderstand—hemp seed oil.
Yes, it comes from the Cannabis Sativa plant. But no, it doesn’t get you high. That’s a myth that’s been following this beautiful plant for far too long.
How It All Started
In the expedition of searching for that special ingredient which would check boxes of my requirements, I stumbled upon this most underrated, misconstrued and misunderstood herb which was right in front of us all along (we can call it an ancient tool).
The idea struck me after watching people who not only had the significance of what I was looking for but also had versatility to work excellently on all skin types.
That contrast hit me hard.
The name was Hemp Seed Oil, also known as Cannabis Seed Oil.
HAHAHA… NO, I wasn’t interested in cannabis for the reasons most bashful readers would think. I was drawn to what Cannabis Sativa seed oil could do for our skin.
I started learning, experimenting, and eventually creating a bath oil with goodness of hemp seed oil that could be used as a moisturizer after a bath or anytime during the day.
Not to escape—but to connect back to my body, my routine, my well-being.
So, What Is Hemp Seed Oil Really?
Hemp seed oil is cold-pressed from the seeds of the Cannabis Sativa plant.
Unlike CBD or THC, it contains zero psychoactive elements.
What it does contain is:
- Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids
- Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA)
- Antioxidants like Vitamin E
All of which are incredible for your skin barrier.
Why It Works—Especially for Indian Skin
It works on all types of humid, salty air and intense dry spells. In such a climate, natural body oils for dry skin need to absorb fast and not feel sticky.
That’s where hemp seed oil bath oil is magical. It:
- Hydrates deeply without clogging pores
- Reduces skin irritation and redness
- Strengthens the skin barrier
- Works for all skin types (especially sensitive or dry)
Why Hemp Deserves More Respect in India
There are two types of Cannabis Sativa plants: one that contains high amounts of THC (the stuff that makes you feel “high”), and one that doesn’t.
Hemp is from the latter.
It doesn’t intoxicate you, but it does help your skin heal, glow, and breathe.
In fact, more than 30 countries today support industrial hemp cultivation for its eco-friendly benefits—it uses less water than cotton, grows fast, and needs no pesticides.
Even the Indian government is warming up to hemp as an eco-conscious agricultural choice.
It’s All About Affordable Luxury
You might assume it’s luxury—but hemp-based skincare products in India can be incredibly cost-efficient because the plant yields high oil content and can be processed naturally.
It’s not just about luxury—it’s about smart skincare.
Why I Created This Hemp Bath Oil
I didn’t create it to ride a trend.
I created it because it worked.
Because in a world full of 10-step skincare routines and complicated labels, this oil was simple. Pure. Powerful.
And tall-standing in the body care world.
And if you are living a fast life like me, then it’ll work for you too.
It’s clean, simple, and minimalistic.
It’s Hemp!!
I felt the need to debunk the stigma, misconceptions and perceptions about this completely nurturing, nourishing and skin-replenishing hemp seed oil and give it the due recognition and love it deserves.
